                        <p><h2>Abstract</h2>
<p>Children with autism may have difficulties identifying and responding to lies, which can leave them vulnerable to manipulation and exploitation. Ranick et al. (2013) described efficacious procedures for teaching children with autism to identify deceptive statements. We replicated Ranick et al. with procedural modifications that included incorporating naturalistic differential reinforcement baselines, evaluating for faulty stimulus control, and including naturalistic probes in training. The treatment package consisted of multiple-exemplar training while the investigator and the participant played board games. Three boys between the ages of 6 and 9 years, diagnosed with autism, were presented with five trained deceptive statements and five probe deceptive statements. All three participants learned to challenge deceptive statements and distinguish them from nondeceptive statements, and all three maintained the skill after 1 month and generalized to novel deceivers.</p>

                        <p><h2>Abstract</h2>
<p>Drawing on data from 6356 PhD students from 34 countries, this study examines the experiences and consequences of bullying and discrimination, and the moderating role of institutional mental support. Descriptive analyses reveal that 22.34% of students experienced bullying, most often perpetrated by supervisors (48.13%), while 21.28% experienced discrimination, primarily based on gender (40.09%) and race (31.69%). Regression analyses demonstrate that both bullying and discrimination have significant negative associations with students’ satisfaction (bullying: <i>β</i> = −0.440, <i>p</i> < 0.001; discrimination: <i>β</i> = −0.395, <i>p</i> < 0.001) and perceived improvement in job prospects. Bullying is further associated with a reduced likelihood of pursuing a research career (<i>β</i> = −0.226, <i>p</i> < 0.001), an effect not observed for discrimination. Heterogeneity analyses indicate that these associations vary by gender. Crucially, while institutional mental support is directly associated with enhanced student satisfaction and outcomes, its buffering role against the negative associations of bullying and discrimination is largely insignificant, except for partially mitigating bullying’s association with perceived job prospects. As the data are cross-sectional and self-reported, these results should be interpreted as associations rather than causal relationships. The results remained consistent after applying inverse-probability-weighted regression Adjustment (IPWRA), underscoring bullying and discrimination as pervasive, damaging stressors in global doctoral education and suggesting that institutional support systems, while beneficial, are insufficient alone to counteract their adverse consequences.</p>

<p>Child labor remains a persistent global challenge that affects learning, productivity, and long-term economic growth, particularly in low-income and conflict-affected regions. This study integrates cross-country data sets, regression analyses, and a comparative case study to examine how community-driven, hybrid digital learning models can mitigate the educational and economic consequences faced by working children. Results show that child labor is strongly associated with lower school attainment, reduced national productivity, and increased social vulnerability. Countries that leverage community networks and low-cost digital interventions demonstrate measurable improvements in participation, resilience, and learning outcomes among working children. The study proposes a scalable framework that combines community engagement, digital access, and policy integration to reduce learning losses and enhance long-term economic stability. By bridging economic, social, and educational perspectives, this paper offers a holistic model that addresses gaps in existing research and supports more equitable learning pathways for working children.</p>

<p>Antecedentes: El trabajo infantil sigue siendo un desafío global persistente que afecta el aprendizaje, la productividad y el crecimiento económico a largo plazo, especialmente en regiones de bajos ingresos y afectadas por conflictos. Métodos: Este estudio integra conjuntos de datos transnacionales, análisis de regresión y un estudio de caso comparativo para examinar cómo los modelos de aprendizaje digital híbrido, impulsados por la comunidad, pueden mitigar las consecuencias educativas y económicas que enfrentan los niños trabajadores. Hallazgos clave: Los resultados muestran que el trabajo infantil está fuertemente asociado con un menor rendimiento escolar, una menor productividad nacional y una mayor vulnerabilidad social. Los países que aprovechan las redes comunitarias y las intervenciones digitales de bajo costo demuestran mejoras mensurables en la participación, la resiliencia y los resultados de aprendizaje de los niños trabajadores. Implicaciones: El estudio propone un marco escalable que combina la participación comunitaria, el acceso digital y la integración de políticas para reducir las pérdidas de aprendizaje y mejorar la estabilidad económica a largo plazo. Contribución: Al conectar las perspectivas económicas, sociales y educativas, este documento ofrece un modelo holístico que aborda las deficiencias en la investigación existente y promueve vías de aprendizaje más equitativas para los niños trabajadores.</p>

<p>Drawing on the Job Demands-Resources model, this mixed-methods research aimed to better understand the nature, measurement, and psychological implications of remote work job demands and resources. Relying on a qualitative approach and on the existing literature, Study 1 allowed the identification and conceptualization of job demands and resources frequently experienced by remote workers. Studies 2 to 4 relied on quantitative cross-sectional designs to test the structural, criterion, discriminant, and incremental validity of the French and English versions of the Remote work Job Demands and Resources-Questionnaire (RJDR-Q). Results provided support for a final 30-item version measuring 10 remote work job demands (i.e., extended availability expectations, communication problems, social isolation, technological hassles, and personal interruptions) and resources (i.e., schedule flexibility, focused work, effective virtual communication, time-saving, and functionality of the remote work environment). Furthermore, findings revealed that these remote work job demands and resources (1) had significant associations with remote workers’ psychological health and work–home experiences, (2) were, overall, weakly correlated with general job demands and resources, and (3) explained remote workers’ functioning over and above general job demands and resources. Altogether, this research enriches our understanding of employees’ subjective experience of remote work.</p>
