<p><h2>ABSTRACT</h2>
<h2>Objective</h2>
<p>The purpose of this study was to investigate underexplored dynamics of post-divorce LGBTQ-parent families.</p>
<h2>Background</h2>
<p>In LGBTQ-parent families in which children were conceived in the context of a prior different-gender partnership, children experience the coinciding events of parental separation and a parent’s coming out as LGBTQ. In recent decades, research on LGBTQ-parent families formed following different-gender divorce has stalled, perhaps due to the increasing emphasis on planned LGBTQ-parent families, or families formed after parents have come out.</p>
<h2>Method</h2>
<p>Twenty-four adults who were born to different-gender married parents (i.e., mother/father families) who divorced when one parent came out as LGBTQ responded to a survey about their childhood experiences involving parental divorce and a parent coming out.</p>
<h2>Results</h2>
<p>Our data shed light on two themes: <i>navigating loyalty conflicts</i> and <i>LGBTQ stepfamily closeting</i>. When queer mothers divorced straight fathers, participants often described loyalties to their mothers, but when queer fathers divorced straight mothers, participants were less likely to describe divided loyalties and more likely to describe cooperative coparenting. Even once parents came out and formed LGBTQ stepfamilies, they often remained closeted at the family level in that participants kept the nature of their parent and stepparent’s relationship hidden from family outsiders, typically to protect their families from real and anticipated heterosexism.</p>
<h2>Conclusion</h2>
<p>Our findings have implications for the present-day well-being of people who navigated family conflict and secrecy as youth. Amid renewed anti-LGBTQ hostility, our results highlight the invisible familial costs of adapting to systems of oppression.</p>

<p><h2>ABSTRACT</h2>
<p>Attachment ruptures, when children struggle to trust in parental availability and support, are linked to increased risk of psychopathology. Preventing or repairing these ruptures is important for fostering secure attachment and promoting family mental health. FamilieLink is a blended intervention that provides attachment-focused knowledge and parenting skills based on the Dynamic Model of the Insecure Cycle, with minimal professional involvement. This case study illustrates its application with Emma, a mother seeking support for her 10-year-old son’s anger outbursts and sibling conflicts. Using psychoeducation, reflective exercises, and emotion-coaching skills, Emma developed greater insight into her son’s emotional needs. She found the platform effective in raising awareness and offering practical guidance, though she noted a desire for more content on neurobiological underpinnings of attachment. Nevertheless, Emma recommended FamilieLink as a valuable resource for parents facing similar challenges. This case study highlights the potential of low-intensity, blended interventions to foster secure attachment within families.</p>

<p><h2>ABSTRACT</h2>
<p>University employees experience high levels of work-related stress and burnout, yet despite an abundance of interventions, participation remains low and they don’t reach those who need them most. This study identified major stressors in the university environment and barriers and facilitators to participation in wellbeing interventions, focussing on differences between academic and support staff. Utilising a Delphi-style methodology, the research included semi-structured interviews and focus groups, followed by a ranking questionnaire to identify and evaluate the most significant stressors, barriers, and facilitators. Data were collected from 38 employees from a Dutch university. Major findings indicate that organisational policies, high workload, and lack of autonomy were prevalent stressors. Workload was a universal barrier, while time and perceived need facilitated participation. Differences were observed across academic and support staff. The study underscores the importance of tailored intervention strategies that address the specific needs of employee groups to increase participation in wellbeing programs.</p>

<p><h2>ABSTRACT</h2>
<p>This article examines how teenage girls in Sweden interpret and negotiate food- and health-related content on social media, paying particular attention to the intersections between eating practices, health, body ideals and femininity. It takes inspiration from feminist theoretical perspectives and is based on eight group interviews with 18 participants. The study explores how teenage girls interpret and negotiate such content and how they perceive its intended purposes. Although the interviews explicitly focused on food, discussions repeatedly shifted towards body ideals. The participants’ discussions highlighted a tension between anti-dieting discourses and the continued valorisation of slim bodies: influencers are expected to verbally distance themselves from thinness ideals, yet their visual representations frequently reinforce them. Messages about ‘healthy eating’ were often interpreted as implicit endorsements of slimness, obscuring distinctions between health promotion and dieting culture. Representations of ‘junk food’ consumption in social media content was valued for counterbalancing restrictive discourses and for signalling authenticity, yet it was also viewed with suspicion when perceived as staged or inauthentic. The kind of content that participants described as most reassuring—content depicting ordinary, everyday eating without an explicit health or aesthetic framing—was rare. Across the interviews, participants demonstrated considerable media literacy, recognising the commercial logics shaping influencers’ practices while simultaneously acknowledging that they were affected by the sheer volume of food- and body-related messages in their social media feeds.</p>

<p><h2>Abstract</h2>
<p>There is growing interest in novel approaches to treating posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), including the use of psychedelic substances combined with psychotherapy, often referred to as psychedelic-assisted therapy, to better meet the needs of patients who do not prefer or respond to traditional evidence-based treatments. Among these treatments, 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA)–assisted psychotherapy (MDMA-AT) has shown promising outcomes in recent randomized controlled trials, with high response and remission rates. However, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration declined to approve MDMA-AT for marketable use in August 2024 due to concerns about insufficient evidence. This paper reviews the current state of the scientific literature on MDMA-AT for PTSD, including putative mechanisms of action; key strengths and limitations of methodologies used to date; gaps in the evidence; and clinical, ethical, and regulatory considerations. Key limitations to be addressed in future studies include challenges with blinding, a lack of active comparator conditions, a lack of head-to-head comparisons of different models, inadequate safety monitoring, and limited sample generalizability. We describe emerging research that integrates MDMA with established trauma-focused therapies, such as prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, to leverage MDMA’s effects on known cognitive behavioral mechanisms of action and support future implementation. Future research directions for advancing knowledge and consideration for the dissemination of MDMA-AT are discussed.</p>
