                        <p><h2>Abstract</h2>
<p>Workers frequently engage in nonneutral body postures that increase their risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders. The purpose of this study was to extend previous research by evaluating whether the provision of information plus artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced video feedback could improve manufacturing workers’ postural behavior. Four metal manufacturing workers participated in this study. This study’s dependent variable was the percentage of time a participant’s target body part spent in low-risk, medium-risk, and high-risk ergonomic positions. This study used a nonconcurrent multiple-baseline design across three participants and a nonconcurrent multiple-baseline design across two target responses with one participant. The results showed that three out of four participants’ postural behavior improved following the provision of information plus AI-enhanced video feedback. Additionally, an occupational therapist independently evaluated participants’ postural behavior before and following the intervention using a validated ergonomic assessment. The occupational therapist’s independent ergonomic evaluations corroborated that participants’ postural behavior improved.</p>

                        <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:13px;">
                        <p><h2>ABSTRACT</h2>
<p>Research has highlighted that adolescent young carers (AYCs) are in a vulnerable position due to their caring responsibilities being combined with the challenges of adolescence. However, caring among adolescents does not have to be a solely negative experience and positive experiences of caring can co-exist. Identifying those factors that contribute to AYCs’ positive or negative caring experiences is important if AYCs are to be offered appropriate support. This cross-sectional survey study examined factors associated with AYCs’ positive and negative caring experiences. Pupils aged 15–17 years from schools in 11 Swedish municipalities completed a questionnaire addressing demographic characteristics, care activities and the reported influence of being an AYC on school results, received support, and perceived health, while caring experiences were measured by the Positive and Negative Outcomes of Caring (PANOC-YC20) instrument. Of 3015 participants, 702 (23%) were identified as AYCs. The PANOC-YC20 positive and negative caring experiences subscales were significantly associated with each other (<i>r</i> = 0.16), with the mean score on the positive subscale (<i>M</i> = 10.36) significantly higher than that of the negative subscale (<i>M</i> = 5.18). In a multinomial logistic regression model, AYCs providing higher levels of emotional care and sibling care had both stronger positive and negative caring experiences, with a relatively greater effect on negative experiences. AYCs who had better perceived health had stronger positive experiences, while poorer perceived health was associated with more negative experiences. Finally, AYCs who felt their school results were negatively affected by their caring role had an increased likelihood of experiencing caring negatively. It is important for relevant authorities and professionals to consider that AYCs can experience caring both positively and negatively when developing or providing support, as these experiences will likely be reflected in both their need of support, and in the forms of support that will be most effective for them.</p>

                        <p><h2>ABSTRACT</h2>
<p>Many ethnic minoritized adolescents attend minority-only schools with no ethnic majoritized classmates, but we know little about their acculturation and friendships in such settings. This study examined how early adolescents’ heritage and mainstream cultural identities and behaviors associated with friendship ties in minority-only class networks. Early adolescents (<i>N</i> = 146, <i>M</i><br>
age = 11.24, 54.4% boys) in minority-only primary schools reported their heritage and mainstream cultural identities and behaviors and completed a sociometric measure of their friendship networks. Exponential Random Graph Models revealed that stronger heritage cultural identities and behaviors were associated with more friendships in class. Whereas mainstream cultural behaviors were linked to more friendships, stronger mainstream cultural identities were associated with fewer friendships, however. Early adolescents’ cultural orientations were linked to friendship ties in minority-only classes, yet associations differed between cultural identities and behaviors. Our findings highlight the need for a more nuanced approach of acculturation in early adolescence.</p>

<p>Some e-cigarette brands have begun offering “boost” modes (aka “pulse” or “turbo”). Our objectives were to (1) Determine the prevalence of boost mode utilisation among adolescents and young adults (AYAs) and (2) Identify the personal and tobacco-use characteristics of AYAs who use boost mode.</p>
<p>
<st>Design</st>
</p>
<p>Cross-sectional survey from January to July 2025.</p>
<p>
<st>Subjects</st>
</p>
<p>n=267 AYAs (M age=21.4, SD=2.3, range 14–25) who lived in the US and had used an e-cigarette at least once within the last 30 days. All participants completed a video conference call with study staff before being sent the online survey.</p>
<p>
<st>Main outcome measures</st>
</p>
<p>AYAs were asked: “Does the e-cigarette or vaping device that you use most often have a “boost” or “pulse” function?”. Those who responded “yes” were asked, “How often do you use the “boost” or “pulse” function?”.</p>
<p>
<st>Results</st>
</p>
<p>55.1% of participants had a device with boost mode. Of these, 54.4% used it “just now and then” or “sometimes”, and 27.9% used it “very often” or “always”. Participants whose device had (vs did not have) a boost mode were younger, had lower socioeconomic status, used their e-cigarette more frequently (every day or almost every day) and had higher scores on the E-cigarette Dependence Scale. There were no differences by Hooked on Nicotine Checklist score, gender, race and ethnicity or use of other tobacco products.</p>
<p>
<st>Conclusion</st>
</p>
<p>If, as brands claim, boost modes alter e-cigarette aerosol production, they likely have implications for AYA nicotine addiction and health effects. Longitudinal and laboratory investigations on boost modes are urgently needed.</p>

<p>We examined the latest two waves of Global Youth Tobacco Survey data from 13 countries that implemented the survey between 2013 and 2023 to assess changes in exclusive, dual and poly-tobacco product use over time among students aged 13–15 years. Current tobacco use, defined as using any form of tobacco in the past 30 days, was categorised into six mutually exclusive variables: exclusive smoked tobacco, exclusive smokeless tobacco, exclusive heated tobacco, exclusive electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), dual use and poly-tobacco use. Multivariable logistic regression models adjusted for survey year, sex and age were used to estimate adjusted prevalence differences (aPDs) between survey rounds, accounting for the complex sampling design.</p>
<p>
<st>Results</st>
</p>
<p>Exclusive smoked tobacco declined significantly in six countries, with aPDs ranging from –8.8 percentage points (95% CI –11.1 to –6.6) in Latvia to –2.8 points (95% CI –4.1 to –1.4) in Paraguay.</p>
<p>Exclusive e-cigarette use increased in nine countries, ranging from 1.2 points (95% CI 0.3 to 2.1) in Albania to 6.6 points (95% CI 4.4 to 8.8) in the Czech Republic.</p>
<p>Dual and/or poly-tobacco use also increased in eight countries, from 0.5 points (95% CI 0.0 to 0.9) in Nicaragua to 6.6 points (95% CI 3.0 to 10.2) in San Marino.</p>
<p>
<st>Conclusions</st>
</p>
<p>There has been a shift in tobacco use patterns, moving from smoked tobacco to e-cigarettes and poly-tobacco use. Comprehensive implementation of tobacco control strategies may contribute to addressing emerging trends in tobacco use.</p>
