<p>Globalization leads to the emergence of new factors that threaten security and the rule of law in Kazakhstan, which necessitates the constant improvement of the personnel qualifications in internal affairs bodies. The purpose of this study was to cover the vectors of updating the legal support for the professional training of law enforcement officers in Kazakhstan. The following methods of scientific research were employed in this study: analysis; synthesis; comparison; deduction; generalization; and formal–legal. It was found that a major part of the future development of the Republic of Kazakhstan is to uphold the principles of justice, protection of society and the rule of law. The effectiveness of ensuring these indicators depends on the level of competence of law enforcement officers, whose activities are aimed at preventing the commission of crimes, their investigation and protection of public safety in general. The study proved that changes in legal, political and socio-economic relations contribute to the emergence of new threats facing society. Thus, the complexity of law enforcement operations is increasing, which demonstrates the need to constantly update the knowledge and skills of internal affairs personnel in Kazakhstan. As a result, the study highlighted the priority of improving the curricula and standards by which police education and training are delivered. It was established that the improvement of legal support of professional training of personnel of internal affairs bodies should be provided based on several approaches, namely legislative, educational, scientific and personal. The results should be used to develop and update the educational policies in the field of professional development of police officers in the Republic of Kazakhstan.</p>

<p>Contemporary racial theorization about American society assumes the universality of White dominance as its point of departure. We argue here that Hawai‘i is an exception, where White supremacy has given way to a multiracial mainstream, shared by the Chinese, Japanese, and Whites. This was a surprising development in a state founded in settler colonialism and racial capitalism, which was moreover a racially hierarchical plantation society until the middle of the twentieth century. The pivot, in Hawai‘i as on the mainland, occurred during the post-World War II period, when the economy underwent a transformation requiring a more educated workforce. On the mainland, this socioeconomic shift opened up the mainstream to the so-called White ethnics. But these were few in number in Hawai‘i, and so the Chinese and Japanese ascended socioeconomically and socially instead. The ethnoracial hierarchy created in this period is still in evidence, as shown by pronounced inequalities among Hawaiian groups. However, the end of White supremacy has been associated with very widespread ethnoracial mixing in families. We discuss some ways in which Hawai‘i may offer a preview of twenty-first-century changes in the U.S. as a whole.</p>

<p>A potent investigative instrument in the fight against highly sophisticated criminal schemes camouflaged by layers of secrecy is the sting operation. However, its application provokes crucial questions of legality and admissibility. Additionally, lack of legal provisions governing sting operations in India has resulted in conflicting judicial stances, calling for clarity on this issue. Hence, this paper examines the intricate legal and ethical challenges surrounding sting operations, which, on one hand, aid in uncovering serious offences and foster public interest but, on the other hand, threaten to infringe privacy rights and fairness of trials. The paper analyses international practices in Canada and the United States of America, alongside judicial precedents and scholarly opinions in India, and recommends statutory inclusion of sting operations in the Indian legal system. The paper proposes stringent judicial control, elaborate ethical guidelines to avoid staging crimes, and regulations on media reporting to maintain the delicate balance of public interest versus personal rights. The paper concludes with a model draft for legislative reform that seeks to strengthen the idea of justice without weakening fundamental rights.</p>
