<div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:11px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 12th 2025, 02:29</div>
<div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:13px;">
<p><p>
<st>Purpose:</st>
</p>
<p>Inadequate bowel preparation (IBP) for colonoscopies is associated with missed polyps and cancers, prolonged procedure times, lower colonoscopy completion rates, and need for a repeat procedure. The purposes of this study were to assess: 1) whether impaired cognitive status (measured by an abnormal clock drawing test) was associated with IBP, and 2) the association of participant demographic and clinical characteristics with IBP.</p>
<p>
<st>Methods:</st>
</p>
<p>Cross-sectional cohort study conducted in 3 academic centers. Subjects, 50 to 85 years old, completed 5 stool tests on a single sample and a clock drawing before undergoing a screening or surveillance colonoscopy. Clock drawings were validated by the Mendes-Santos method and Watson method. A generalized linear mixed model was conducted to estimate factors associated with IBP, based on Aronchick bowel preparation score.</p>
<p>
<st>Results:</st>
</p>
<p>The 2,016 participants had a mean age of 63 years (SD = 7.95); 1,274 (63%) were female; 119 (6%) had IBP; and 421 (21%) had an abnormal clock drawing. After controlling for age in the multivariable model, the odds of having an IBP versus adequate were 1.44 (95% CI, 0.94–2.22) for those with an abnormal clock drawing score compared with those with a normal score. The only variable significantly associated with IBP was household income, with an odds of 2.48 (95% CI, 1.56–3.95) for household income of <$40,000 compared with income >$80,000.</p>
<p>
<st>Conclusions:</st>
</p>
<p>Lower household income was associated with greater odds of IBP. The association between an abnormal clock drawing score and IBP was not statistically significant.</p>

<div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:13px;">
<p><h2>Abstract</h2>
<p>Many individuals feel compelled to seek reminders of trauma that produce distress outside of a therapeutic context (i.e., “self-trigger”). To better understand this behavior, we examined and categorized the motives behind self-triggering by qualitatively analyzing the free responses of 355 participants to the question, “In your own words, why do you self-trigger?” In Study 1, researchers determined whether previously identified motives could be reliably coded. In Study 2, a separate group of researchers identified motives inductively, without knowledge of the a priori motives. Most a priori motives were reliably identified in Study 1, and both studies revealed a range of additional motives. Across both studies, the most prevalent motives included determining the meaning of one’s traumatic event, self-punishment, and efforts to validate one’s identity as a trauma survivor. Validation was consistently associated with more frequent self-triggering, Study 1: δCliff = −.19, 95% CI [−.35, −.02]; Study 2: δCliff = −.19, 95% CI [−.32, −.05], whereas the desire to avoid emotional numbness, Study 1: δCliff = .21, 95% CI [.02, .39], or seek arousal, Study 2: δCliff = .22, 95% CI [.06, .37], were associated with less frequent self-triggering. Motives categorized as “unknown” were also associated with less frequent self-triggering, Study 1: δCliff = .35, 95% CI [.08, .56]; Study 2 δCliff = .35, 95% CI [.08, .56]. The findings suggest motives for self-triggering are diverse and may serve different functions—cognitive, interpersonal, moral, physiological, or sexual—depending on the individual, with implications for conceptualizing trauma-related emotional regulation and behavioral responses.</p>

<p><div class="abstract" data-abstract-type="normal">
<p>This study aims to empirically understand the precarity of food delivery work at online platforms particularly during the COVID-19-led devastations. Food delivery workers are the new form of the global phenomenon in the labour market. This is a result of access to cheap internet and smartphones among customers, which has enabled the platform to create a new form of labour market. Platform-based food aggregators use the terminology of ‘delivery partners’ for these workers which alters the traditional employer-employee relationships, allowing corporations to evade labour-related responsibilities. This makes working conditions at digital platforms highly precarious and is reflected by low income and the non-existence of labour welfare measures. The COVID-19 pandemic and resultant lockdowns have worsened the precarious nature of on-demand work. It has caused a massive loss of livelihoods and erosion of income, showing the importance of traditional employer-employee relationships. These precarious working conditions call for affirmative actions in the form of regulations.</p>

<p><p>Journal of Threat Assessment and Management, Vol 12(3), Sep 2025, 169-177; doi:10.1037/tam0000258</p>
<p>One of the strongest correlates of aggressive behavior is psychopathy, although it is unclear which specific facets of psychopathy are most closely associated with aggressive behaviors. In this study, we examined which dimensions of psychopathy were most associated with three forms of aggressive behavior using a combination of hierarchical principal components analysis and Bayesian multiple regression in a sample of adult men and women (<em>n</em> = 286) recruited online. Results suggested that psychopathy had a seven-echelon hierarchical structure, of which the fifth and sixth echelons were most associated with all forms of aggression. Within these echelons, callous manipulation was the strongest predictor of aggression, with low self-esteem and male sex having modest positive effects over and above this. These results have implications for research on and applied assessments of psychopathy and personality pathology more generally. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2025 APA, all rights reserved)</p>

<p><h2>ABSTRACT</h2>
<p>In a 5-year longitudinal follow-up study of adolescents (<i>N</i> = 97) treated for borderline personality disorder (BPD), we examined the characteristics of the persistent BPD group (<i>N</i> = 23), the stability of BPD criteria from baseline to 5 years, and the predictors of remission (<i>N</i> = 74). Significantly more participants in the persistent BPD group, compared to the remitted group, had depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or another personality disorder, received psychotropic medication, and were less likely to be in a relationship or in education. All nine diagnostic criteria of BPD exhibited extremely low stability over time across groups. Prior sexual abuse, conduct disorder, and high levels of general BPD psychopathology at baseline predicted persistent BPD at the 5-year follow-up. These findings suggest that while the status from late adolescence to young adulthood on each diagnostic criterion for BPD is highly variable over time, clinicians need to be aware that adolescents with high overall levels of BPD symptoms, a record of sexual abuse, and co-occurring externalizing behaviors are at increased risk of a poor prognosis.</p>
