                        <p><p><span class="paragraphSection"></span></p>
<div class="boxTitle">Abstract</div>
<div class="boxTitle">Introduction</div>
<p>In 2017, New York City (NYC) passed a minimum floor price law (MFPL) to raise the minimum price of a pack of cigarettes to $13.00. Evaluation of the MFPL in NYC is limited and has yet to examine its potential as a pro-equity policy.</p>
<div class="boxTitle">Methods</div>
<p>Data (n = 20,241; pre-policy n =15,037, post-policy n =5,204) were obtained from the New York State Adult Tobacco Survey, a quarterly repeated cross-sectional survey. Using the Difference-in-Differences approach, we compared changes in reported cigarette prices, cigarette consumption, and smoking status among NYC residents before and after policy implementation to changes in the same outcomes among residents in the rest of the state (ROS) over the same period.</p>
<div class="boxTitle">Results</div>
<p>For some smokers, cigarette price increased in NYC for post-policy period; moreover, prices increased more in NYC than in ROS. NYC smokers who reported higher income, more education, or White or “Other” race, reported a bigger price increase than their ROS counterparts. Cigarette consumption decreased more in the post-policy period for people in the ROS, in general and among certain groups. Everyday smoking status decreased similarly in both NYC and ROS, whereas someday smoking status decreased primarily in the ROS during the analysis period.</p>
<div class="boxTitle">Conclusions</div>
<p>Cigarette prices in NYC increased after the 2017 MFPL; these increases were greater than those occurring elsewhere in the state, suggesting the policy might be a factor in the change. However, the increases were concentrated among relatively higher priced purchases, and groups with lower smoking prevalence. Changes in smoking status and cigarette consumption did not correspond to study hypotheses.</p>
<div class="boxTitle">Implications</div>
<p>This study provides an empirical analysis of a real-world policy in tobacco control. It examines the potential of the MFPL in New York City as a pro-equity policy. Findings extend the current MFPL literature and suggest that they may be able to raise cigarette prices for some purchases, but also may have a limited impact on smoking behaviors.</p>

<p>Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) created an opening to put the care economy on the global agenda, but the idea found particularly fertile ground in Latin America and the Caribbean well before COVID. This article examines the way the idea and practice of a care economy has been developed by feminists in the region. It looks at the role played by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and the triennial Regional Conferences on Women in putting it on the regional agenda. Turning to the Uruguayan example, it looks at how feminists were able successfully to push for a national care system, using the idea of the care economy as a coalition magnet. When facing blockages at the national scale elsewhere, however, Latin American feminists have adopted a multi-scalar strategy, finding openings especially at the local scale, as the examples of Bogotá and Mexico City suggest.</p>

<div class="boxTitle">Abstract</div>
<p>We estimate the equilibrium effects of a public school grant program administered through school councils in Pakistani villages with multiple public and private schools and clearly defined catchment boundaries. The program was randomized at the village-level, allowing us to estimate its causal impact on the market. Four years after the start of the program, test scores were 0.2 sd higher in public schools. We find evidence of an <span>education multiplier</span>: test scores in private schools were also 0.2 sd higher in treated markets. Consistent with standard models of product differentiation, the education multiplier is greater for those private schools that faced a greater threat to their market power. Accounting for private sector responses increases the program’s cost-effectiveness by 85% and affects how a policymaker would target spending. Given that markets with several public and private schools are now pervasive in low- and middle-income countries, prudent policy requires us to account for private sector responses to public policy, both in policies’ design and evaluation.</p>

<p>This study explores the experiences of social work students of color (SOC) and their antiracism education within a school of social work at a public university. Twenty-one SOC participated in focus groups where they described their experiences with antiracism education. Several key themes were identified: (a) finding community through affinity groups, (b) SOC interactions with White students, (c) differentiating internalized racism and anti-Black racism, (d) the impact of White instructors and the lack of mentors and supervisors of color, (e) microaggressions and incidents of racism, and (f) taking up space. As this is an exploratory study, authors make recommendations for social work schools to pilot in the future. These recommendations include assessing White students’ skill level with antiracism education and practice before placing them in classes with SOC, assessing faculty’s skill set with antiracist teaching and providing ongoing support, creating sustained affinity spaces for SOC as a way to booster wellness, designing and piloting antiracist outcomes for social work students, and developing simulation-based learning with simulated patients as a tool to measure antiracist practice competencies.</p>

<div class="boxTitle">Abstract</div>
<div class="boxTitle">Background</div>
<p>Heterogeneity in ageing rates drives the need for research into lifestyle secrets of successful agers. Biological age, predicted by epigenetic clocks, has been shown to be a more reliable measure of ageing than chronological age. Dietary habits are known to affect the ageing process. However, much remains to be learnt about specific dietary habits that may directly affect the biological process of ageing.</p>
<div class="boxTitle">Objective</div>
<p>To identify food groups that are directly related to biological ageing, using Copula Graphical Models.</p>
<div class="boxTitle">Methods</div>
<p>We performed a preregistered analysis of 3,990 postmenopausal women from the Women’s Health Initiative, based in North America. Biological age acceleration was calculated by the epigenetic clock PhenoAge using whole-blood DNA methylation. Copula Graphical Modelling, a powerful data-driven exploratory tool, was used to examine relations between food groups and biological ageing whilst adjusting for an extensive amount of confounders. Two food group–age acceleration networks were established: one based on the MyPyramid food grouping system and another based on item-level food group data.</p>
<div class="boxTitle">Results</div>
<p>Intake of eggs, organ meat, sausages, cheese, legumes, starchy vegetables, added sugar and lunch meat was associated with biological age acceleration, whereas intake of peaches/nectarines/plums, poultry, nuts, discretionary oil and solid fat was associated with decelerated ageing.</p>
<div class="boxTitle">Conclusion</div>
<p>We identified several associations between specific food groups and biological ageing. These findings pave the way for subsequent studies to ascertain causality and magnitude of these relationships, thereby improving the understanding of biological mechanisms underlying the interplay between food groups and biological ageing.</p>

<p>Music therapy interventions target biopsychosocial outcomes and are a non-pharmacological option for integrated pain management. To date, most music and pain studies have focused on acute pain, passive music experiences, and in-person delivery. The purpose of this study was to examine feasibility and acceptability and determine proof-of-concept for a newly developed telehealth music imagery (MI) intervention for Veterans with chronic pain. A single-group proof-of-concept pilot study was conducted with Veterans with chronic pain (<span>n</span> = 8). Feasibility was assessed through examination of recruitment, retention, and session/measure completion rates; acceptability through participant interviews; and whether the intervention resulted in clinically meaningful change scores (pre- to post-intervention) on measures of pain, anxiety, and depression at the individual level. For Veterans who passed eligibility screening, we had an enrollment rate of 89%, with good retention (75%). Overall, participating Veterans found the intervention acceptable, identified specific challenges with technology, and recommended an increased number of sessions. Preliminary outcome data for pain, anxiety, and depression were mixed, with some Veterans reporting clinically meaningful improvements and others reporting no change or worsening symptoms. Findings informed modifications to the telehealth MI intervention and the design of a larger pilot randomized controlled trial to assess feasibility and acceptability of the modified intervention in a larger population of Veterans with chronic pain using additional measures and a control condition.</p>
