The technology uses skin cells from one person to alter the genetics of a donated egg, researchers reported Friday in the journal Science Advances. That egg can then be fertilized by a sperm cell to create a viable embryo containing the combined genetics of the skin donor and the sperm donor.</div>

The agency said Europe is prone to more frequent and more punishing weather extremes—including increasing wildfires, drought, more unusual rainfall patterns, and flooding—and it needs to immediately address them in order to protect its energy, food security, water, and health.</div>
