In fact, the study found higher rates of depression among transgender youths are more closely associated with bullying and victimization. The findings were published Wednesday in the journal JAMA Network Open.

The study, published Wednesday in Neurology, followed over 30,000 participants for an average of 11 years, and found that eating 10% more ultra-processed food carried a 16% greater risk of cognitive impairment. Ultra-processed foods are the main source of calories eaten by Americans.
